Audley Group, the UK’s leading provider of luxury retirement villages, today announces it has secured planning approval on the Audley Villages site at 131 Fairmile Lane, Cobham, Surrey.
The village will be the group’s second location in the Surrey area following the recent opening of Audley Cooper’s Hill in Englefield Green.
The proposals include a comprehensive soft and hard landscaping strategy including the retention of 33 of the 35 trees protected by Tree Preservation Order. These include a large tulip tree that would be the centrepiece of the new gardens.
On-site facilities will be housed in the Audley Club, and will include a swimming pool, health club, restaurant and bar bistro. These facilities will be available to Audley property owners and their guests, alongside the provision of Audley Care which is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
Paul Morgan, Managing Director, Audley Group, said: “Fairmile Lane is a great addition to the Audley portfolio, and we are pleased to have been granted planning permission on this fantastic location. Today’s approval further demonstrates our commitment to the Surrey area and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the local community to make a positive impact through our Audley village way of life.”
John Nettleton, Group Land Director, Audley Group, said: “This planning consent maintains our unrivalled planning track record and shows our commitment to prime locations
in the South East, as well as throughout the UK. We undertook extensive engagement with the local planning authority along with other interested parties from the local community. We are confident Audley Cobham will make a positive contribution to Fairmile Lane and the surrounding area. “
