Audley Group, the UK’s leading provider of retirement villages, today announces it has exchanged on the historic Headley Court near Leatherhead in Surrey.

The 23-acre site has most recently been home to The Help for Heroes Rehabilitation Complex which has now relocated to state-of-the-art facilities at Stanford Hall in Lincolnshire.

The Jacobean style Grade II listed mansion and stables were completed in 1899 and subject to planning, Audley is proposing a sensitive heritage conversion to an Integrated Retirement Community. The village will comprise of a number of units, with apartments, communal facilities, including health and wellness facilities, swimming pool and restaurant, in the listed Mansion House and adjoining stables.

Audley specialises in the sensitive conversion and onward stewardship of listed buildings into first class retirement living villages and will be consulting with the local planning authority and local community over the coming months before a planning application is submitted.
